APA 2017: Two operatorships and six partnership awards

The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy today announced the Awards in Predefined Areas 2017.

"This is an outstanding result for VNG Norge and comes as a result of a strong collaboration effort, both internally as well as with our AMI partners. These awards will strengthen our portfolio and help grow our resource base", says Erling Bergfjord, Director Exploration.

A total of 75 licences were awarded to 34 different companies. The number of licenses is the highest ever awarded in a licensing round on the Norwegian continental shelf.
"Access to new, prospective exploration acreage is a central pillar in the Government's petroleum policy," says Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Mr. Terje Søviknes (Progress Party).
