Our parent company VNG – Verbundnetz Gas AG is a European gas importer based in Leipzig. The core business activities of the VNG Group include the trading, transportation and storage of natural gas as well as innovative energy services. VNG’s customers are primarily municipal gas distributors, both in Germany and abroad, power stations, major industrial users and gas trading and transportation companies.
VNG ranks as one of the three leading gas importers and merchants in Germany.The company owns and runs underground gas storages with a total volume of 2,6 billion cubic metres. Further development of the storage capacity is underway.
Long-term relations with gas producers and decades of experience in the gas business are a cornerstone of VNG’s reliable gas supplies. Russian, Norwegian and German companies with an international portfolio play an important role in this context.
